Applications open for AICPA Startup Accelerator Program

The AICPA and CPA.com are seeking applicants for their 2023 Startup Accelerator program. This year they are particularly interested in companies that specialize in accounting, tax, fintech, regtech and ESG solutions.

The 2023 program is open to startups around the world so long as they have a working product or service, are at the seed or pre-Series A stage (with some exceptions), and focus on accounting, tax, fintech, regulatory technology, cyber or ESG solutions.

Successful applicants receive $25,000 in seed funding as well as insider-level access to subject matter experts, executives, firms and finance leaders. This includes senior leaders at the AICPA and CPA.com, as well as the program's advisory board members, who bring diverse backgrounds and complementary skills in entrepreneurship, startup tech companies, accounting and finance.

The AICPA and CPA.com are accepting applications until Nov. 30, 2022. Selections will be announced in February 2023. Companies accepted into the program will also be featured next summer at institute's Engage 2023 conference. Later in the year, they will also be featured at the AICPA/CPA.com Digital CPA Conference.

"At CPA.com, we're focused on applying practical innovation every day," said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO of CPA.com, in a statement. "That's what makes this program so special — it allows the profession to tap into some of the most exciting innovations, and it helps these startups develop products and services that are finely tailored to the needs of the profession."
