Nominations open for Women Who Count Awards

Nominations are now open for the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance's annual Women Who Count Awards.

Nominees must be AFWA members and have professional experience within industries, firms, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations or businesses that support the accounting and finance industry. Nominations should be submitted via an online form. The awards will be selected in seven categories:

  • Emerging leader;
  • Excellent student;
  • Industry professional;
  • Public practice;
  • Small business;
  • Academic; and
  • AFWA leadership.

Additional awards will also be given to AFWA chapters in the following categories: membership, communications, programming, scholarship and public service. Nominations should be submitted via an online form.

The deadline for nominations is Aug. 1. The winners will be announced at the Women Who Count conference in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Oct. 23-26. 

Registration is also open for the 2024 Accounting MOVE Project, which is an annual survey of accounting and financial firms that measures demographic data and workplace culture to help advance women and other underrepresented groups in the profession. It creates annual lists of the best firms for women and equity leadership based on this research. The survey closes July 28. Results will be released Oct. 25 in conjunction with the Women Who Count conference.
